chatter asked: I am considering a home-business in the Market Research Field. I have over 10 yrs experience. I started as an interviewer and worked my way up to Manager of a focus group facility. I then worked for someone else out of my home 10 yrs ago, for about 3 yrs., getting cost estimates for focus groups, writing screeners, daily reports etc. Basically, the moderator would call me and I would take it from there. The moderator would get daily reports and conduct the actual focus group(s). Since I have been out of the industry for 10 years, I’m not sure how much to charge my clients. My clients are contracted focus group moderators who work with companies like Kraft. I don’t want to charge too much, but I have to cover my costs and I want to make it worth my efforts.
