Hey, it’s me! asked: It’s kind of odd that he would back off of those comments now, after the election is over. It’s almost as if he purposely tried to scare people during the election, but after the election he wants people to believe they economy is on the rebound. Why would he do such a thing? Doesn’t he realize that fear tactics like that can cause people to lose their entire life savings? Doesn’t he look at the stock market?

purpletoad1 asked: wouldn’t that damage his credibility. Hasn’t he been marketing himself as a different kind of politician? Hasn’t he condemned her tactics? If he does go out and start “mudslinging,” becomes more aggressive, and takes her to task on her record, wouldn’t he be hypocritical? I have no problem with someone defending themselves. And I have no problem with any of the tactics he might use. The problem I have is that he is advertising himself as different that other politicians, but if he goes on more of the offensive he will become just like any other politician. If you put your name on a billboard that says you are different, you had better live by it and go about things differently. By the way, I **** the term “mudslinging.” It seems any time someone says something the slightest bit negative the term gets thrown around. There is nothing wrong with challenging your opponent. It has been a tool of politicians for generations. Accept if for what it is- a political tactic and tool.
